This was one of my earliest static figure sculpts back in early 2009 and every time I look at it, I still can believe I made it. Whenever I get sculptor’s block, I tend to go back and refer to this piece.

Here’s a video of the Exiled Morgana I made
Whatyer Making Boy? - Exiled Morgana Sculpture
This is one of three figures I’ve been commissioned by a Riot employee; the other 2 characters will be kept secret until I start working on them.
The only instruction I had was to make her look how she does in their splash art. The figure itself was scratch built using polymer clay and hand-painted with acrylic paint. Her base was made with paper mache clay and the name plate is polymer clay. The accents and details on her dress were mainly modeled from her in-game sprite since that was my only source to see 360 degrees of reference material. You can see it’s a little different from her splash art.
Thanks to T0mT4yl0r on YouTube, I was able to get a pretty decent turn around reference.
As I mentioned in the video, I haven’t done a lot of free sculpted human type faces so that was the trickiest part for me. I felt a little overwhelmed when I started doing her wings, but once I got a system down to sculpt each feather it wasn’t too bad at all, just a little tedious (heh).
That’s one down, two more to go. After the Baron and Teemo Diorama I’ve been getting some requests, but my day job is about to start to full-time soon. That means I won’t be able to pump out these figures as quickly as I have been lately. Come summer break I will have more free time to sculpt figures freely.
Thanks for taking a look. I took still shots that you can see in my Flickr.

Exiled Morgana figure commission (set 2)
This is another commission request from someone working at Riot Games. She is the first of three that this person had requested. I’ll keep the other two as a surprise.
Like the other figures I made, this one was made using polymer clay and hand brushed with acrylic paints. She stands at just a little under six inches tall from the bottom of her base to the tip of her wings.
Per request, the person that commissioned me to do this wanted her pose just like her splash art. Hopefully I got as close to that as possible. A lot of the details and accents were based off of her in-game sprite. Thanks to T0mT4yl0r (http://www.youtube.com/user/T0mT4yl0r) I was able to get as close to these details as possible with the videos he had of her turn around.

just need to texture out the fabric on the back, more details on the upper part of her dress, work a little more on her hands, then finish up with her wings.
did you notice when you look around her dress, it looks like looking top down on a rose?

King Rammus & Plumber Teemo
This is a commissioned fan piece I did for someone at Riot Games. She gave me a list of champions she liked and I picked these two for a Mario Bros. theme since Rammus already had a skin inspired by your favorite spiky shelled villain =P. I just had to make up a matching skin inspired by our well known plumber hero for Teemo. All the ideas came to mind the night I was asked to make a piece for this person. Teemo’s inspired skin came pretty quick seeing that he already had mushrooms and the PVC pipe blow dart gun idea came like a flash.
The whole thing stands at about 4 1/2 inches tall

Video of my Bec Noir commission.
Here’s a video of the Bec Noir sculpture I made, and I took even more photos that you can check out in my Flickr album
Whatyer Making Boy? - Bec Noir Sculpture
Our very own spawnyreborn got me into Andrew Hussie’s Homestuck by commissioning a Bec Noir piece from me. He, spawny, pretty much gave me free reign for the design of the figure.
Bec stands at almost nine inches tall from the tip of his wings to the bottom of the base. I used polymer clay for the figure with wire for the armature, and the base is made using paper mache clay. I wasn’t too sure what the base should look like but Adrian suggested a checker board like The Battefield on Skaia. I went with it and added a little, or a lot, of battle damage and a touch of blood… well maybe not a touch (haha).
I used acrylic paint and hand brushed it on. The part I had the most trouble painting was the spade on his tattered costume. I need to get a nice detailing brush and I have to make sure to take real good care of it (haha).
Here are some still photos.

LoL yeah it’s like 3:30am as I post this but I’ll be out most of the day later today so I figure I’d post this now to make sure it gets posted. The Tumblr queue isn’t reliable at the moment so happy early Christmas eve for those of you that celebrate, happy holidays to those of you who don’t, and to the rest happy happiness and have a great end of the year with more years to come ^_^

Teemo & Baron diorama
Just a friendly reminder that this piece is up for auction ^_^
This is a fan art piece inspired by the MMOBA game League of Legends. Teemo already leads a hard life being all small and squishy. Everyone depends on him to ward places mostly by himself. I wonder what goes on in his head when he approaches Baron’s cove to lay a shroom.
Most of it was made using paper mache clay. Teemo and some of the details were made of polymer clay. The water was made using a water simulation liquid I got from a hobby store. I hand brushed the paint using acrylic paints.
Dimensions: 6in tall, 7.5in wide, 7in long (cm=15.24 x 19.05 x 17.78 )
